The Saint is represented as a Dominican, with light hitting her from the above. The rosary around her neck and her holding the cross are symbols of the fall of the temporary earthy things, while the skull on her side it's a symbol of reflection on death. We can see a stigma on her right hand too, symbolizing her life of prayers.
