Search

Built by Frederick II of Swabia in the thirteenth century, the Ursino castle in Catania had a certain visibility during the Sicilian Vespers, as the seat of Parliament and, later, as the residence of the Aragonese Sicily Sovereigns including Frederick III. Today it is the seat of the Civic Museum and contains numerous collections, like the Biscari and Benedettini ones.
