Hunting axe with wooden handle and carved griffin

Steel axe, presumably a hunting axe, engraved and openwork, with carved wooden handle. There are a chimera, caricatural masks and branches depicted on the blade, while a grotesque head is carved at the end of the handle. The head is showing the tongue as a sign of mockery and wearing a hat folded forward similar to a bonnet, which alongside the red cloth wheel was the infamous badge of the Israelites, expelled from Sicily from June 1492 to January 1493.
