There are a chimera, caricatural masks and branches depicted on the blade, while a grotesque head is carved at the end of the handle. The head is showing the tongue as a sign of mockery and wearing a hat folded forward similar to a bonnet, which alongside the red cloth wheel was the infamous badge of the Israelites, expelled from Sicily from June 1492 to January 1493.
