This room, located immediately near the entrance, was designed as a guard outpost for the castle. It, like all the corner rooms, has a cross vault, but the ribs, rather than being placed on quarter capitals, rest on elegant corbels. In addition to the harmony of the environment, the two loopholes can be seen, suitable for the defense of the castle. In this room there are architectural finds from the Roman theater of Catania, partly collected by the Prince of Biscari in the excavations he carried out in 1750, while others were found in different periods.
